About Milsek

Milsek Furniture Polish, Inc. is a partnership-based corporation, which manufactures and distributes the Milsek line of products from its company warehouse located in Petersburg, Ohio. We are a hands on company, where attention to detail is placed on what leaves the warehouse, as well as maintaining our loyal customer base. Throughout the business week, customers will most likely speak directly with an officer of the company rather than a machine operated voice mail system. We believe this type of service is rare in today's competitive market, and is why so many of our customers are repeat patrons. That, and the fact that the Milsek line is among the finest polishes and cleaners manufactured in these United States.

Our Company Mission Statement:
To fulfill the needs of our customers in a courteous and efficient manner and to produce a quality product that exudes outstanding results at the hands of its user.

"I live in a 50 year old Frank Lloyd Wright house. I have tried many different products on the cypress wood and historical cherry wood carvings. Your polish is fantastic." Plymouth, MI

Milsek Furniture Polish

The original Milsek Furniture Polish & Multi-Purpose Cleaner with Lemon Oil was formulated in 1914 by a master cabinet maker by the name of Zolton Csiky (pronounced Sickee). Csiky couldn't find a suitable furniture polish when he came to this country, so he made his own. In fact, the "Mil" in Milsek stands for his employer, Miller Furniture, and the "Sek" stems from his own last name.

Distribution has come a long way since Mr. Csiky's wife, Julia, collected catsup bottles from friends and neighbors, cleaned them, filled them with Milsek and corked the bottles for sale during the Depression. During World War II, Mr. Csiky taught refinishing. Many of his students began using Milsek and recommended it to their own customers.

For almost 100 years, Milsek has been proudly trusted by discriminating homeowners, antique dealers, restorers, collectors, carpenters, and musicians to protect their wooden valuables. Most of our customers are multiple repeat buyers, and our new customers usually come from their referrals. That says it all about how wonderful our products are.

Today we continue the tradition of producing a quality product through hard work, learning from those who have set the standards expected by Milsek customers. We also listen to our customers and marvel in the ways they use Milsek in their homes. Many have found uses for the product that far surpass its original intentions (which was for wood cabinets). And so, we have have taken their suggestions and developed new products based on multiple uses throughout the home. We hope you put it to work in your home, and that you can relax by knowing Milsek means clean.
